Girls Love Beyoncé

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and are enjoying 2014 thus far!

Spring Semester ’14 was supposed to start tomorrow but unfortunately this serious winter weather has me stuck at home in Chicago for a few more days and the first day of classes is cancelled. With that said, I thought I might share a little bit about what I’ve been contributing to the dance world during winter break.

In the spring of my senior year, four members of my high school dance company and myself decided to start a dance company/crew named More Than Minor(ities) Dance Co. because we thought it would be fun to choreograph, dance to hit music, and share our talents. Two days later we shot our first video to fellow up and coming Chicago artists Assata Jones and Tink’s new hit at the time, “Dance On Me”. MTM was recieved so well with our first video that it now has 5,584 views! Since then we have also posted videos to James Blake’s “Retrograde” and Justin Timberlake’s “Don’t Hold the Wall” as well as a performance at a local open mic night.

When the end of the summer rolled around MTM headed our separate ways for college. Even though each one of us is focusing more on our individual dance endeavors, we always had intentions of reconnecting. Winter break was the perfect opportunity for that to happen!

So without further ado, I present MTM x Yoncé x Flawless x Partition. This was my first time choreographing for the crew so I hope you really enjoy it!
